Common questions
Can WorkCover pay for counselling?
Yes, on an accepted WorkCover Queensland claim when the insurer approves it. Talk to your case manager or GP, or call us and we'll explain the steps.
Do I need approval before my first session?
For sessions funded by WorkCover, the insurer usually needs to approve them first. We can help you ask, and you can always start privately while you wait.
Will my employer know what we talk about?
With your consent, your case manager receives what your claim needs, such as attendance and progress. What you talk about stays private, within the legal limits we explain at your first session.
Can I have sessions by telehealth?
Yes. Secure video and phone sessions are available anywhere in Australia.
