For employers, HR & occupational rehabilitation officers

Return to work, EAP and critical incident support for your workplace

Early, practical support for your people, whether or not there's a claim. We work alongside occupational rehabilitation officers, rehabilitation and return to work coordinators and HR to keep people at work, bring them back safely, and support teams after a critical incident.

Services for workplaces

Four ways we help

Return to work & early intervention

Inside or outside a workers' compensation claim, for physical and psychological injury or illness.

  • Early intervention after injury or illness
  • Return-to-work and suitable duties plans
  • Workplace assessments
  • Liaison with treating practitioners

Critical incident response

Support for your team after a workplace trauma, on site or by telehealth.

  • Group and individual support
  • Manager briefing and guidance
  • Follow-up counselling
  • Referral pathways for ongoing care

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Confidential counselling for your staff, with guidance for managers.

  • Work and personal concerns
  • Manager consultation for complex situations
  • Face to face or telehealth
  • De-identified usage reporting

Outboarding & career transition

Support for workers leaving your organisation, through our Mindful Futures program.

  • Redundancy and medical retirement
  • Vocational assessment and coaching
  • Resume, interview and job search support
  • A plan for what comes next

Outside the compensation scheme

Why act before there's a claim?

Not every injury, illness or stressful time becomes a claim, and a claim doesn't have to be the first step. Supporting someone early, from your own budget, can help them stay at work, shorten time away and show your team you care.

It also helps you meet your work health and safety duty to manage psychosocial risks, with a confidential, professional service you can call on when you need it.

For occupational rehabilitation officers

We work the way you do: clear goals, written updates and plans that fit your return-to-work program and your obligations under WorkCover Queensland or your own scheme.

  • Referral to first contact within 48 hours
  • Written progress at agreed intervals
  • Suitable duties and graduated return-to-work plans
  • Liaison with treating practitioners, insurers and managers
  • De-identified EAP usage reporting
